Navila Liveaboard
Updated 3 November 2026
Navila Liveaboard is a two-masted phinisi of ironwood and teak, 28 m long, with 6 en-suite cabins. A crew of 6 sails her, and 12 guests sleep on standard beds, up to 14 with the extra-guest fee. Below are the figures in plain words: hull, engine, cabins, power, water and the safety kit.
Navila measures 28 m from bow to stern, with a beam of 5.5 m. The hull is ironwood and teak, she carries two masts, and she was built in South Sulawesi. Her home port is Labuan Bajo. The main engine is a 6D22, and the cruising speed is 8 to 11 knots.
Six cabins sleep twelve guests on standard beds, or fourteen with the extra-guest fee. A crew of six works under a cruise director.

All six cabins, Master 1 and 2 and Private 3 to 6, share the same core fittings: one double bed, a bathroom of their own with a hot shower, air conditioning and a safety box. Each looks out to sea. The two Masters add a wide window and space for one extra guest.
So twelve guests have six bathrooms between them. Nobody queues, and nobody shares a shower with a stranger. For the hours on deck there is also a public bathroom by the dining area.
The bed is the one constraint. With a single double bed in every cabin, two friends who want separate beds should ask before booking, and we will reply in writing before any payment. Air conditioning is fitted in every cabin.
On the cabins page each one has its own paragraph and seat fare.

There is a jacuzzi on deck, with cushioned seating around it. Relax areas at the bow, in the middle and at the stern mean a party of twelve has three separate places to sit.
Meals are served at one table indoors, out of the sun. Evenings have karaoke and a home theatre on a smart TV; days have a paddleboard and snorkelling sets. Towels and life jackets are provided.
Starlink internet is on board. Coverage shifts as Navila moves, so we quote no speed and never suggest video calls.
Anything arranged beyond the boat itself is on the services page.

A large relax area at the bow, for reading and for watching the next island draw closer.

A relax area in the middle of the boat, between bow and stern, for the slow hours after lunch.

A large relax area at the stern, where the wake and the evening light are easiest to watch.
Navigation is by a Garmin 585 GPS and a VHF radio. A 22.5 kVA generator supplies the power, with a silent genset beside it. The tanks carry six thousand litres of fresh water.
The safety kit on board is life jackets, life buoys and fire extinguishers. If someone in your party needs a particular life-jacket size, say so when you first write, and we will confirm it.
Where the boat goes on a given day is for the captain and the harbour authority to decide. Swell, tide or a harbour order can move a stop. The equipment keeps Navila within the rules, and good judgement keeps the day comfortable.

Six crew sail Navila, led by a cruise director, which works out at one for every two guests when the boat is full. They are the boat's own crew.
Landings are made by tender, and it seats sixteen. That is more than Navila ever carries overnight, so your whole party can go ashore together.
Requests about food, a birthday or mobility should reach us in writing before sailing; we pass them on.
The host's note. In your first message, give us your arrival time and the name of your hotel. The pier transfer is timed around both, so nobody is left waiting in the sun.
Yes. She sleeps twelve guests on standard beds, fourteen with the extra-guest fee, and six crew look after them, about one to every two guests. Each cabin has its own bathroom, and there are relax areas at the bow, in the middle and at the stern. A party larger than fourteen needs a second boat.
Starlink internet is on board, but coverage shifts as Navila moves, so we give no speed and do not promise video calls. There is also a jacuzzi on deck.
