One traveller, a cabin with a private bathroom and a shared sailing on a set date
Updated 3 November 2026
A solo traveller books one cabin seat on Navila's 3D2N open trip. A Private seat costs IDR 7,100,000 (≈ USD 436) and a Master seat IDR 8,100,000 (≈ USD 497), each per person with two sharing, all-in for 2026. Every cabin has its own bathroom. Who shares yours is confirmed in writing before you pay.
One cabin, one traveller: the offer and its edges
What we offer is a seat in a cabin on the three-day open trip: IDR 7,100,000 (≈ USD 436) per person in a Private cabin, or IDR 8,100,000 (≈ USD 497) per person in a Master cabin. Both prices assume two guests sharing, and both are all-in for 2026, fuel included.
Every cabin has a double bed, its own bathroom with a hot shower, air conditioning and a safety box. The Master cabins also have a wide window.
The limits are simple to state. The seat is priced per person on a shared basis, and what a single guest pays when the second place stays empty is settled in writing before payment. The table below gives the seat price for each cabin.
If you would rather have the boat to yourself, the whole boat is priced for one to four guests at IDR 73,000,000 (≈ USD 4,479) for three days.
| Cabins | per person |
|---|---|
| Master Cabin 1 | IDR 8,100,000 (≈ USD 497) |
| Master Cabin 2 | IDR 8,100,000 (≈ USD 497) |
| Private Cabin 3 | IDR 7,100,000 (≈ USD 436) |
| Private Cabin 4 | IDR 7,100,000 (≈ USD 436) |

Who else is aboard when a sailing is shared
A shared sailing means sharing with other guests. The open trip fills the cabins with different travellers, up to twelve on standard beds, and Navila's crew of six, under a cruise director, looks after everyone. The open-trip seat also brings a guide, plus photo and video documentation.
Who takes the other half of your cabin is a question we answer in writing. We do not promise to place a stranger with you, and we never place anyone without telling you first. The written confirmation names the cabin, the price and the arrangement for the second place.
If a friend would like to come, they can take the second place and pay for the second seat, and both names go on one confirmation.
Seats change from day to day, so every seat is checked with you on WhatsApp before any payment.
A solo traveller's day from first coffee to last tea
Day one opens with a meeting at 09:00 to 09:30, at the airport or your Labuan Bajo hotel; departure from the quay follows between 10:00 and 11:00. The first walk is the short climb on Kelor. The evening ends at Kalong, as the flying foxes leave their mangrove roost after sunset.
Day two starts early for sunrise on Padar. Pink Beach and Komodo Island follow, and the afternoon goes to Taka Makassar and Manta Point. There are three meals a day, with coffee, tea and water whenever you want them, and the open trip includes a guide.
On day three you snorkel at Kanawa and reach the harbour between 12:00 and 13:00. Book a flight home for after 15:00.
Travelling alone, you will find the days quiet in a good way. Your cabin is there when you want to withdraw, the relax areas at the bow, middle and stern have room for a book, and the cruise director is on hand for small requests.
Departure dates that suit a lone guest
For a lone guest, a sailing with several cabins already taken is the better choice, since a fuller sailing means company at the table.
Ask us which sailings are filling up. We check the seat count live on WhatsApp and do not promise a date until your seat is confirmed.
If your dates are fixed, send your arrival and departure flights too. The three-day sailing reaches the harbour at around 12:00 to 13:00 on the last day, so a flight home after 15:00 is the safe choice.
What to confirm before sailing alone
Before you pay, ask us to confirm four things in writing.
- The cabin, Private or Master, and the price for one person.
- Whether anyone else will be in the cabin, and what happens if the second place stays empty.
- Where and when you are met: at the airport or your hotel, from 09:00 to 09:30.
- The costs that sit beside the seat: the park package, tips, drinks beyond the free-flow list and card fees.
Travel insurance is not included in the fare, so arrange your own. The page on travelling alone sets out the rule in full. If you have a dietary need, tell us before sailing and we confirm it in writing.
FAQ
Is a solo traveller welcome on a Komodo boat trip?
Yes. Cabin seats on Navila's 3D2N open trip are sold on set dates, from IDR 7,100,000 (≈ USD 436) per person on the basis of two guests to a cabin. We confirm your cabin and any price difference in writing before you pay. Send us your dates and we check the seats live.
Is Komodo safe for solo female travellers?
Navila has a crew of six led by a cruise director, and every cabin has its own bathroom. If you would prefer to share a cabin only with another woman, tell us before you pay; we ask Navila and confirm in writing what is possible. Leave the boat's name and your sailing dates with someone at home.
Is there a supplement for travelling alone?
The seat is priced for one person in a cabin shared by two. We confirm the exact amount, and the arrangement for the second place, in writing before you pay, so you know the full price before any deposit.
