Twelve beds, two extra places and the point where a second boat begins
Updated 3 November 2026
How many guests fit on a six cabin phinisi? On Navila, twelve sleep on standard beds. Two more can come with the extra-guest fee, IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) each on 3D2N, sleeping in a Master cabin. Thirteen guests pay IDR 86,000,000 (≈ USD 5,276) for the whole boat. Beyond fourteen, an overnight trip needs a second boat.
Counting beds: twelve standard, then thirteen and fourteen with a fee
The count is simple to state and surprisingly easy to get wrong. Navila has six cabins, each with one double bed. Two guests to a cabin makes twelve on standard beds: that is the base capacity, and every band price from one to twelve guests assumes it.
The plan below shows the beds. Twelve guests sleep in pairs, while six can have a cabin each; anywhere in between, some cabins are shared and the party decides which.
The thirteenth and fourteenth places work differently. They are not standard beds but extra-guest places, one in each Master cabin, and each carries a fee of IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) per guest on the 3D2N route. On the other routes the fee is IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) for 2D1N and IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) for 4D3N.
So Navila takes 12 guests, or 14 with the extra-guest fee. We always give both figures, because neither is true without its condition.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps | with extra bed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Master Cabin 1 | 1 | 1 double bed (queen size) | 2 | 3 |
| Master Cabin 2 | 1 | 1 double bed (queen size) | 2 | 3 |
| Private Cabin 3 | 1 | 1 double bed (queen size) | 2 | 2 |
| Private Cabin 4 | 1 | 1 double bed (queen size) | 2 | 2 |
| Private Cabin 5 | 1 | 1 double bed (queen size) | 2 | 2 |
| Private Cabin 6 | 1 | 1 double bed (queen size) | 2 | 2 |
| Berths in total | 6 | 12 | 14 |
Who gives up a Master cabin for guests thirteen and fourteen
Only the two Master cabins take an extra guest, one each. The thirteenth and fourteenth guests therefore sleep in Master 1 and Master 2, which then hold three people apiece. The couple in that cabin gives up some room, and the fee is the price of the arrangement.
On a full boat, who has the Master cabins is a matter of choice rather than rule. Some parties give them to the eldest relatives, for the wide window. Others give them to the youngest, who need the room least and the extra place most. Friends can always draw lots.
You receive the bed arrangement in writing before payment, and if the exact bed matters to you, ask us before booking.
Thirteen guests pay IDR 86,000,000 (≈ USD 5,276) for the whole boat over three days, with the extra-guest fee already in that sum.
Pairing cabins: couples, friends, three generations
The plan is built from pairs. Couples take a cabin each, with the double bed they would share anyway. Friends who are not couples face the same bed, so say who shares with whom. Three generations do best when every parent is in a cabin near their children, and with six cabins and six bathrooms a family has room to arrange that.
No cabin lists separate beds. If your party needs them, ask us before booking and we will tell you plainly whether Navila can help, without guessing.
The two Master cabins have a wide window and an ocean view; the four Private cabins have an ocean view. All six have the same fittings: a bathroom with a hot shower, air conditioning and a safety box.
The cabins page describes each one in detail. This guide only counts.
Longer voyages stay at twelve
A charter of six days or more is limited to twelve guests, so the extra-guest places belong only to the shorter routes, from 2D1N to 4D3N. Longer charters are quoted on request, and the limit of twelve applies to every one of them.
Plan with it in mind. A party of fourteen hoping for a week should expect either to split across two boats or to come down to twelve. Twelve or fewer face no such limit.
The full-day charter is the exception in the other direction: it is priced for one to fifteen guests, because nobody sleeps aboard.
Parties above fourteen need another vessel
For an overnight trip, fourteen is the ceiling. A larger party needs a second boat, which means a second quote, a second crew and a second set of cabins.
We mention it early because it is easier to hear before a deposit than after one. If you are fifteen or sixteen, write to us, and we will tell you honestly whether a second boat can be found for your dates and how the plan would look.
A party that size can also look at the full day. The full-day charter is priced for one to fifteen guests with no overnight stay, and it covers Padar, Pink Beach and Rinca.
An overnight trip for more than fourteen guests on Navila alone is not offered.
FAQ
How many guests can sleep on Navila, and what is the extra-guest fee?
Twelve guests sleep on standard beds, and a thirteenth and fourteenth can join with the extra-guest fee of IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) per guest on 3D2N. Those two sleep in the Master cabins. On charters of six days or more the limit is twelve, and a party of more than fourteen needs a second boat.
What are the cabins on Navila like?
There are six: two Master cabins with an ocean view and a wide window, and four Private cabins with an ocean view. Each has one double bed, its own bathroom with a hot shower, air conditioning and a safety box.
Do couples get a double bed, and can we ask for separate beds?
Every cabin has one double bed, which couples share. Twin beds are not offered, and no cabin lists separate beds. If friends or relatives in your party need separate beds, ask us before booking, and we will tell you plainly whether anything can be arranged.
Does every cabin have air conditioning, hot water and a private bathroom?
Yes. All six cabins have air conditioning, their own bathroom with a hot shower, and a safety box, and there is a public bathroom by the dining area as well.
How many guests and crew are on board?
Navila takes 12 guests on standard beds, or 14 with the extra-guest fee, with a crew of six led by a cruise director. On a full boat that is about one crew member for every two guests. On a whole-boat charter, nobody else is aboard.
