The Host's Notebook is the journal of Navila's reservation team: practical notes on flights, quotes, occasions, boat-safety rules and what the boat carries, cabin by cabin. Entries are written one at a time, and the newest sits at the top of the list below.
What fills the Host's Notebook
A notebook is for the things that do not fit on a price page. Here that means the questions guests put to us before they decide, answered once and answered properly, so that nobody has to ask twice.
Four kinds of entry appear. Planning notes cover the flight that suits a morning boarding and what a whole-boat quote leaves out. Occasion notes cover the arrangements behind a proposal on deck or an anniversary, and what to tell us a month ahead. Rules notes explain the boat-safety requirements in Labuan Bajo for the year. Inspection notes record what we looked at on the boat itself, from the engine room to the cabin safes.
Each entry is dated, and each says plainly what it knows and what it does not. Short ones are short.

The list below runs by date, newest first.
We write slowly, and only about what we can check. Nothing is guessed. A note that leans on an airline timetable carries the date of that timetable, so that you can judge how old it is. A note that leans on a harbour or park rule names the office that issued it and the month in which we read it. Simple. When a fact changes after publication, we correct the entry and say that we did.
Entries do not repeat the fare tables. For prices, open the charter page or the open-trip calendar, which move whenever the rates move. If your question is not answered here yet, write to us on WhatsApp. Your question can become the next entry, and nobody is named unless you ask us to.
