One night at anchor, and two days that are full
Updated 3 November 2026
Komodo in 2 days and 1 night on a private phinisi means the whole of Navila from IDR 58,000,000 (≈ USD 3,558), starting with Kelor, Rinca and Kalong. Day two opens at Padar and finishes at Manta Point. Four guests pay IDR 14,500,000 (≈ USD 890) each. The dragon walk is on Rinca, not Komodo Island.
Overnight at anchor, then Padar on the second sunrise
This is Navila's shortest overnight. The boat leaves Labuan Bajo, spends one night at anchor and comes back to Labuan Bajo.
Day one takes in Kelor, Rinca and Kalong. Day two begins at Padar, then moves on to Pink Beach and Taka Makassar before ending at Manta Point. Seven stops in two days makes for a full programme.
Overnight the boat lies at anchor, and the captain chooses where according to the weather. We cannot name the spot in advance; the captain only settles it on the day.
The limit is simple. One night leaves no time for Komodo Island or Gili Lawa, so if either matters to you, choose one of the longer routes.
Day 1
| What happens | Have ready | |
|---|---|---|
| · | Labuan Bajo — Pickup from your hotel or Komodo Airport to the harbour; the time is set with your charter date and flights | passport or ID |
| · | Kelor Island | shoes with grip, hat and water |
| · | Rinca Island | shoes with grip, hat and water |
| · | Kalong Island at sunset | a light layer |
| 🌙 | Night aboard. Where the boat anchors for the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision on the day. | |
Day 2
| What happens | Have ready | |
|---|---|---|
| · | Padar Island | shoes with grip, hat and water |
| · | Pink Beach | reef-safe sunscreen |
| · | Taka Makassar | mask and snorkel |
| · | Manta Point | mask and snorkel |
| · | Back in Labuan Bajo on day 2, then hotel or airport |
These stops swap order with tide and wind: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar.
Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.
Evening one: Kelor, Rinca, and the bats crossing Kalong
Kelor is the first landing, with its short trek. Then comes Rinca, where rangers lead the walk and the dragons live wild. On this route the dragon walk is on Rinca; Komodo Island appears only on the three-day route.
Kalong ends the day. About fifteen minutes after sunset the flying foxes start to cross the mangroves, and in June the sun goes down at Kalong at 17:50. Then the boat settles at anchor for the night.
Day one's lunch and dinner come with the charter, as do coffee, tea, water, snacks and fruit through the day. Towels are aboard.
Weather and the captain decide in which sequence the three stops come, so treat the plan above as a plan rather than a contract.
A single night, costed for each party band
For two days and one night the whole boat costs IDR 58,000,000 (≈ USD 3,558) for one to four guests, IDR 62,500,000 (≈ USD 3,834) for five to eight and IDR 67,000,000 (≈ USD 4,110) for nine to twelve. A thirteenth and fourteenth guest each pay IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) and sleep in a Master cabin, bringing the party to fourteen.
Four guests pay IDR 14,500,000 (≈ USD 890) each. The price belongs to the boat, not the head count: two guests pay the same total as four, so a smaller party means a larger share each.
A private-charter price does not include the park package, the guide, photo and video documentation, drinks beyond those listed, tips, the drone permit and flights. Each appears in writing when we quote.
Every party size is in the table on this page. Figures are for 2026 departures.

Morning two at the Padar ridge, with three reefs after it
Day two starts before first light. Padar comes first, with the ridge climb timed for sunrise: 06:14 in June and 05:31 in November. We can give you the time but not the sky, since cloud decides the colour.
From Padar the boat goes on to Pink Beach, then Taka Makassar, and finally Manta Point. Three stops in one morning ask very little of you: a swim, a snorkel, a rest on deck. Snorkelling sets are on board.
Mantas do appear at Manta Point, but nobody can promise a sighting; the sea has the final say. If the tide is running the wrong way, the captain moves the stop.
After Manta Point the boat heads back to Labuan Bajo. We confirm the time in writing, with your flight in mind.
Cut short by a night: who should add another
Two days make a good introduction and a hurried goodbye. If you are hoping for Komodo Island, Gili Lawa or simply a slower pace on deck, you are really asking for another night. The three-day route adds the island and finishes with a snorkel at Kanawa.
An extra night also brings down the cost per day. For one to four guests, three days cost IDR 73,000,000 (≈ USD 4,479) against IDR 58,000,000 (≈ USD 3,558) for two. For a third day at sea, the step is a modest one.
Add the night if your party is twelve or fewer and your dates allow. Keep to two days if you have flights at both ends and a fixed return time.
Send us your dates and party size and we will say plainly which suits you, naming the route that leaves nothing out.
FAQ
Where does the boat spend the night?
At anchor. The captain picks the anchorage according to weather and tide, so we cannot name it beforehand. The first stop next morning is Padar, reached in time for sunrise.
Do we see Komodo Island on the two-day route?
No. On two days the dragon walk is on Rinca; Komodo Island belongs to the three-day route. Rangers lead every walk. Because the dragons live wild, neither walk can promise you a sighting, and the rangers choose the trail.
What time do we start and finish on the two-day trip?
We set the times with you, around your hotel and your flights, and confirm them in writing once the date is held. The Labuan Bajo transfer, from airport or hotel to the pier and back, is part of the charter. Leave a good margin before any flight home.
