What a whole-boat quote leaves out: guide, park package, drone permit and tips

Navila's private-charter prices are for the whole boat, not per person. For a 3D2N voyage in 2026 there are three bands: IDR 73,000,000 (≈ USD 4,479) for one to four guests, IDR 77,000,000 (≈ USD 4,724) for five to eight, and IDR 82,000,000 (≈ USD 5,031) for nine to twelve. The 2027 rates, valid from 1 January 2027, are IDR 85,000,000 (≈ USD 5,215), IDR 88,000,000 (≈ USD 5,399) and IDR 92,000,000 (≈ USD 5,644) for the same bands. A thirteenth and fourteenth guest each add IDR 4,000,000 (≈ USD 245) on a 2026 voyage of this length.

A full day on the water costs IDR 48,500,000 (≈ USD 2,975) for the boat in 2026, for up to fifteen guests, by day only. Longer voyages are priced the same way, and the charter page lists them all. If you copy a figure into a budget, copy its year with it; the two cards are not the same.

Here is what the price buys. The list is short, and all of it is in place before you step aboard.

• The whole boat with its six air-conditioned cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom and hot shower.
• A crew of six, led by a cruise director.
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board, with coffee, tea and mineral water free-flowing, plus snacks and fruit.
• Towels, life jackets and snorkelling gear.
• The jacuzzi, karaoke, home theatre and paddleboard.
• Pickup and drop-off between Labuan Bajo airport or your hotel and the harbour.

Eight things sit outside a charter price: flights to and from Labuan Bajo, hotels before and after, the Komodo National Park package, the park drone permit, travel insurance (with dive insurance for anyone who scuba dives), alcoholic drinks and tips for the crew. On a private charter the eighth is the tour guide with photo or video documentation.

Insurance is yours to arrange. Dive cover only matters if someone in your party scuba dives, and Navila carries snorkelling gear, so think of her as a snorkelling voyage. The rest of the list holds few surprises.

None of it sits in small print. What you need is to see each line before the deposit leaves your account, which is why nothing is added to a Navila fare without a written quote. Please hold us to that.

On a private charter, a tour guide and documentation with a camera, GoPro or drone are not in the price. They are available on request and quoted separately, once we know your dates and how many days you want them. The open trip is the reverse: the 3D2N open trip includes both the guide and the documentation.

The open trip is sold per person with two guests to a cabin. For 2026 the all-in fare is IDR 7,100,000 (≈ USD 436) for a Private Cabin and IDR 8,100,000 (≈ USD 497) for a Master Cabin, each per person. If a guide matters most, the choice is fairly simple. The charter gives you the whole boat; the open trip gives you a shared one, with the guide and documentation already in the fare.

Komodo National Park is paid separately. We quote it as one package per guest, and for a 3D2N trip it is IDR 650,000 for a foreign guest and IDR 350,000 for an Indonesian guest. The package bundles the government entrance ticket, IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day under PP 36/2024, with the ranger fee and local levies. It is not the government ticket by itself, and it is settled apart from Navila's price unless your written quote includes it.

There is also a new limit in 2026. The national government capped visits at 1,000 a day for Padar, Rinca, Komodo and 23 dive sites from 1 April 2026, as Antara reported on 15 April 2026. Tickets must be booked and paid in advance with passport numbers, so give us your party's details early.

If you want a drone in the air over the park, a park drone permit is required. We arrange it for you, and it costs two million rupiah. A permit is not a promise of footage, because weather and park rules decide what can be flown.

Crew tips are outside the price as well. No amount is fixed, so we do not print one; it is your decision, made on the last morning. Alcohol is excluded too. Coffee, tea and mineral water are free-flowing, and anything stronger should be arranged before you sail.

For six guests on 3D2N in 2026, the quote has five parts. The boat is the 5 to 8 band, IDR 77,000,000 (≈ USD 4,724). The park package is added once per guest, six times. A guide and documentation are quoted if you want them. The drone permit applies only if you fly a drone. Tips are your own decision on the last morning.

The deposit is 50%, the balance is due 30 days before sailing, and the balance can also be paid on the departure day in cash or by card machine. Fees are 3% for a card payment link, 7.2% for PayPal and 3% for the card machine; your own bank may add its charges. Cancellation 60 days or more before sailing refunds 50%, and 30 to 59 days refunds 25%.
